Let's Go Fly a Kite!
2 Week Class  Monday & Tuesday
Class Date: March 3 & 4

This is a 2 session class involving many parts.  We will be making a mixed media collage with a little girl or little boy out on a brisk March day flying a kite.  This will be created on a  11 x 14 canvas board. The background will be several layers using gesso, acrylics, and a foam brush technique to create interest and depth.  The girl or boy is done off canvas using a template that they will transfer to art paper. The figure  is  colored in using pastels, colored pencils and gel pens, then cut out and attached to the canvas board.  The kite is made from spackle, yarn and fabric.  Distressed inks is applied with textured stamps  to create visual interest. Some embellishments are added. Colored sand is  applied to give the effect of a gentle breeze.

Sample of Let's Go Fly a Kite! with a boy.
If signing up for this class, please note on the registration form which figure you will be doing - the girl or boy so I can bring along the needed template.
